Prices

For specialty or novelty cakes, please contact us for a price quote.  Prices start at $200.

For wedding cakes prices start at $300 or $4 per serving for cakes that feed more than 75 people.

Sheet cakes are 4 layers of cake and 3 layers of filling and covered in fresh whiped cream.  These are perfect for feeding large groups or wedding parties at a more reasonable price than decorated cake.  A ¼ sheet feeds 40 and a ½ sheet feeds 80 and is $1.50 per serving for regular flavors and $1.75 for premium flavors.

Cupcakes range from $2.50 to $4 per cupcake for standard cupcakes and $1 to $2 for minis. (ribbons or cupcake wrappers extra)

Cake pops range from $1.50 to $3 each based on level of decoration. (decorative arrangement extra)

Sugar cookies range from $2 to $6 each (bags, bows, and tags or cookie bouquet arrangement extra)

Cake/Cupcake Stand Rental

Cake stands and cupcake towers are available for rental.   Rental prices range from $15 to $50 depending on the stand and require a refundable deposit of $40 to $150 depending on the stand.  All rented cake/cupcake stands must be returned to our Gilbert shop within 72 hours after the event.  For each day after this time that the stand is not returned there will be a $10 per day charge that will be deducted from your deposit.  See our gallery for stand options.

Tastings

Our tastings are $30, and include a variety of cupcakes to sample.  During the meeting, we will discuss the design of your cake, so please bring any pictures, invitations, etc, that may help us come up with something perfect for your event.  The tasting lasts 1 hour and we ask that you arrive on time to ensure that you are allotted your full hour.  If you should need to reschedule, or cancel, we ask that you contact us no later than 48 hours in advance.  If your cake is booked that day the $30 is applied to the cost of your cake.

Delivery

We are happy to deliver our cakes and cookies as long as we are available. We deliver to the Phoenix Metro and surrounding areas.  Please contact us for delivery charges.

We regret that we cannot SHIP our cakes.

Please see our “menu” for our favorite cake flavors but we make all of our cakes to order, so if you have another flavor in mind, please let us know and we’ll do everything we can to make it for you!

Ordering Information

We take orders either by phone, email, or through our online form. We’d like as much lead-time as possible…but if you have a short notice order, ask us, and we’ll try to get it done for you! If possible, we ask that you give us at least 4 to 6 weeks notice on specialty cake orders.

Deposit

Any order over $200 requires a 50% deposit when ordering.

Methods of Payment

We accept, cash, checks or credit cards (American Express, Visa and Mastercard).

Picture Cakes

Designer Cakes by April does have the capability of printing your pictures, corporate logos or images onto cakes, cupcakes and cookies. Displaying your corporate logo on one of our creative cake designs is a great way to brand your company. Corporations have also used picture cakes & cupcakes for new brand launches, retirement dinners, and charity events, and company anniversaries. Please contact us for more information.

Cookies

We make custom cookies, perfect for party favors for weddings, showers, birthday parties and more. Our delicious sugar cookies can be cut into many different shapes, hand decorated with fondant and/or royal icing, and wrapped in cellophane and a ribbon. Our cookie favors start at $4.00/each.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

A 50% deposit is due at time of order placement of which 20% is non-refundable.  Balance is due in full 5 days prior to event date.  This removes stress of payment on your busy day and makes pick up or delivery simple and much more fun.

In the event of cancellation:

1.     All requests for cancellation must be made in writing.

2.    30% will be refunded up to 4 weeks prior to event.  Cancellations within 4 weeks of the event forfeit the full 50% deposit.

3.     If the cake is rescheduled for another date the deposit can be applied to that order.
