Babies & Monkeys

Okay, let me just tell you that square cakes are insanely difficult.  But this cake was so worth the effort!  Is it wrong to be in love with your own cake that you made?  This was a last minute request but I couldn’t pass it up.  I had to do the baby blocks!  It was worth getting up at 1:00 a.m. to work on it all night to get it done before my cake class started at 8:30.  When my husband got up to go to work he said “that’s a really cute bear.”  It’s not a bear, it’s a monkey!  The ears are a little big and mouse-like but overall I thought it was a dang cute monkey… )
